NNPP Warns INEC From Recognizing Illegal Congresses From Kwankwaso’s Group

ABEOKUTA – The National Secretary of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to be part of the shenanigans of Kwankwaso’s led group of hijackers who are desperately going on with illegal congresses across the country.

Oginni equally called on the National Headquarters of INEC not to accept any of the candidates coming from Kwankwasiyas group from different States.

“We are confident that INEC as an Independent umpire shall never allow Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to tarnish its good image by supporting illegality.

“Secondly, it is on record that INEC did not attend the Labour Party Convention due to the internal crisis rocking the Party. In the same Vein, we strongly believe INEC shall live above board by making sure that the commission stays clear of the Kwankwasiyas bigots meeting slated for tomorrow at Abuja.

“INEC cannot afford to be dealing with Political Parties with double standard, hence, the neutrality of the Commission at this crucial time is highly essential.

“The National Headquarters of New Nigeria People’s Party for the umpteenth time call on Prof. Mahmood Yakubu to ensure that INEC remains neutral in the internal wranglings of NNPP pending the determination of all cases and litigations in various courts.

“In the same vein we are appealing to all genuine members of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to remain calm in the face of these avoidable provocations by hijackers.

“The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) as a law abiding political platform has approached the Federal High Court in Abuja and hearing of the case has been fixed for the 16th of April before Hon. Justice Egwuatu.

“The illegalities called Congresses by Kwankwasiyas and expelled members is an exercise in futility, therefore, we implore all our teeming members to remain calm while judiciary are at work to make sure that these groups of “political armed robbers” led by Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso failed woefully in their desperation to steal the intellectual property of Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam who founded this Party over 22 years ago.”
