2026: Nigeria’s Future Hinges On Leadership With Integrity, Achudume Tells Nigerians
ABEOKUTA – The lead Pastor of Victory Life Bible Church, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, has charged Nigerians to ditch betrayals and live with integrity in 2026.
Addressing journalists in Abeokuta, Achudume declared, “Enough is enough of betrayals of one another, betrayals of the nation, betrayal of trust the people have given to our leaders whether pastor, imam or politician.”
He stressed that positions of leadership are held in trust for the people and should be used to help humanity.
The apostle lamented that Nigeria’s lack of credibility and honour has led to the nation being looked down upon globally.
“Where we lack credibility and honour, the other parts of the world will look down on us as a people who are not serious,” he said.
Achudume expressed optimism about Nigeria’s potential, saying, “All over the world, Nigeria is doing great, exploit we can repeat it here in Nigeria.”
He prayed that the nation would become God’s dream, with great leaders, children, and nation, and that the era of one person cornering the nation’s wealth would end.
The apostle also cautioned against the dangers of AI and technology, saying, “The AI stuff is a lot of deceit involved, a lot of fakeness involved.”
He urged young people to stay grounded in African culture and real relationships and to be careful of the negative side of technology.
While emphasizing the importance of God’s presence, he noted that “God’s presence makes the difference. In God’s presence, you see clearly, you see a better future, you don’t see evil, you don’t see wicked people, and you don’t do evil.”
He cited examples of biblical figures like Joseph and David, who succeeded with God’s presence.
Speaking to his colleagues on the pulpit ,the apostle urged fellow clergy to live according to what they preach, saying, “Say what you mean and mean what you say, and say what you do.” He emphasized the need for integrity, sincerity, and uprightness among leaders.
On Victory Life Bible Church International’s theme for 2026 “On Eagles’ Wings,” he said it symbolised unstoppable progress despite storms.
“We gonna swat through the storms, unstoppable, unbeatable storms become icing on the cake of our destiny.”
The apostle concluded by praying for Nigeria’s leaders, citizens, and lands, saying, “There will be greater exports in twenty twenty-six, not only on petroleum but other agricultural resources for which God has blessed Nigeria.
