ABEOKUTA – The CEO of a boxing promotion, outfit Yocateco, Hon. Yakubu Imadu has promised his support for the veterans qualifier holding in Abeokuta from July 25 to 26.
The zonal qualifier among south west teams is being hosted by the All Stars Football Association, Abeokuta, inside the main bowl of the MKO Abiola sports complex, Kuto, Abeokuta.
While commending the organizers of the annual tournament for their initiative, Hon. Imadu said that though Yocateco is known for boxing, he cannot but lend his support to the veterans qualifier as sports generally is a unifying factor no matter the game.
The Yocateco boss stressed that he is always willing to contribute his own quota to the development of sports, especially at the grassroot.
He maintained that identifying with the veterans on an occasion like this is a responsibility any sports inclined person must key into.
