APC National Women Advocacy Appoints Security Expert, Otunba Adejare Southwest Zonal Patron
LAGOS – The National APC Women Advocacy Organisation (NAWA-ORG) has announced the appointment of Dr. Otunba Adejare Rewane Adegbenro as its Southwest Zonal Patron, recognising his remarkable contributions to humanitarian service, cultural diplomacy, and national development.
The appointment, according to a letter signed by the organisation’s National Executive Council, described Adegbenro’s appointment as a reflection of his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to public service.
Adegbenro, through the Otunba Adejare Adegbenro Foundation, has championed several life-changing initiatives, including free medical interventions, large-scale eye-care programmes, clean water projects, feeding schemes, and educational scholarships.
These projects, the organisation noted, have brought hope and relief to thousands, demonstrating that “true leadership is measured by the lives touched rather than titles or possessions.”
Beyond philanthropy, Adegbenro has distinguished himself as a global diplomat and cultural advocate, promoting peace, cooperation, and African excellence on the international stage. As a Country Director to the UK for the International Society of Diplomats, he has amplified Nigeria’s voice abroad. His work with Ceci Educare Oy in Finland further bridges education, culture, and business across continents, highlighting his influence beyond Africa.
Celebrated as a connector of nations and custodian of heritage, Adegbenro’s achievements have earned him recognition across Africa and Europe, including the historic honour of being the first international icon to feature on the cover of Prestigize Global Celebrity & Elite Business Magazine (Nordic Edition).
NAWA-ORG described this milestone as a tribute not only to his global impact but also to his enduring legacy of service and vision.
NAWA-ORG, a nationwide female-led political and humanitarian think tank affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC), is committed to advancing socio-economic development, empowering communities, and strengthening gender inclusion.
With members drawn from all 36 states and the FCT, the organisation plays a key role in grassroots mobilisation, promoting democracy, and supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to the organisation, Adegbenro’s appointment marks a new chapter in its drive to deepen grassroots engagement and inspire women leaders across the Southwest.
His extensive networks and leadership experience are expected to play a vital role in the execution of NAWA-ORG’s strategic initiatives — including Women United for Tinubu (WUT) and the Hope Forward Network (HFN) — aimed at consolidating policy gains and positioning the APC for victory in the 2027 elections.
