ABEOKUTA – Pensioners in Ogun State under the auspices of Nigeria Union of Pensioners, have made a passionate appeal to Governor Dapo Abiodun for the payment of 2025 End of Year Bonus to retired civil servants.
In a letter jointly signed by the state chairman, Comrade Waheed Oloyede, and Comrade Bola Lawal, State Secretary, the pensioners expressed gratitude for the early payment of December pensions, which enabled them to celebrate Christmas.
The letter acknowledged the governor’s “bountiful end of year bonus” to the entire Ogun State workforce, category by category, describing it as a “proactive motivational gesture” showcasing his loving and caring leadership.
The pensioners appealed to Governor Abiodun to extend the bonus to retirees, citing the yuletide season and approaching New Year.
“The Nigeria Union Of Pensioners, Ogun State Council, further use this medium to appreciate Your Excellency’s goodwill gesture at the provision of Bountiful End Of Year Bonus to the entire Ogun State Work force in category by category.
“This is a proactive motivational gesture which shows the loving, amiable, caring and understanding leadership personality in Your Excellency.
“Our dear benefactor, God-fearing and God-sent, the Aged and Vulnerable Senior Citizens, hereby use this medium to passionately appeal to Your Excellency, to also beam the benevolent milk of kindness in you, towards us the Retirees, in the spirit of the Yuletide season and of the approaching New Year, for such *Bountiful End Of Year Bonus* consideration, to be extended to us as well, so that we could also join the Main Stream workers to enjoy the bliss of the seasonal celebration.”
