2027: ‘The Believe’ Youth Movement Endorses Tinubu, Abiodun, GNI For Governor
...calls for consolidation of Ogun’s progressive gains
ABEOKUTA – The Believe (APC) Youth Movement on Saturday formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Dapo Abiodun and Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing the trio as the most credible slate to sustain development, stability and strategic alignment across federal and state levels.
The endorsements were announced at a sensitization and endorsement programme organized by The Believe Network, Ogun East Senatorial District, held in Sagamu.
The event attracted party leaders, youth stakeholders, grassroots mobilisers and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across the district.
According to the Movement, President Tinubu was endorsed for a second term to deepen the Renewed Hope agenda at the national level, while Governor Abiodun was endorsed to contest the Ogun East senatorial seat.
Isiaka was endorsed as the preferred candidate of the youth movement for the governorship of Ogun State in 2027.
Speaking through one of the convener of the movement, Hon. Alayo Muyideen said the group’s decision was guided by the need for continuity, competence and consolidation at a time when Ogun State was entering a “defining phase” of its development journey.
He said Governor Abiodun’s “Building Our Future Together” agenda had laid measurable foundations in infrastructure development, education, healthcare delivery, industrial growth and economic expansion, stressing that the state required leadership capable of protecting and expanding those gains.
He described Isiaka as a seasoned administrator and financial expert with deep grassroots connections and extensive experience in public service and political organisation, adding that his profile placed him in a strong position to provide steady leadership and policy continuity.
“2027 should be about strengthening what has been built and expanding the opportunities already created. The task before Ogun State demands preparedness, experience and clarity of purpose.” he said.
On the national front, the youth movement said its endorsement of President Tinubu reflected confidence in the Renewed Hope agenda and the importance of sustained collaboration between federal and state governments to unlock investment, ensure fiscal stability and fast-track development outcomes.
The endorsement of Governor Abiodun for the Senate, Alayo added, was informed by confidence in his capacity to represent Ogun East effectively at the National Assembly and to advance the state’s interests at the federal level.
The group equally noted that aligning leadership across the three tiers of government would guarantee policy coherence, institutional stability and long-term planning, which it described as critical to sustained development.
Alayo cautioned against internal divisions and excessive personal ambition, stressing that the success of the party and the future of the state depended on discipline, maturity and collective responsibility.
