Eid-el-Fitr: YPP Presidential Aspirant, Filani Preaches Harmony, Togetherness, Joy
ABEOKUTA – The Presidential Aspirant of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Mr. Olajide Filani, has congratulated Muslim devotees throughout Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful conclusion of Ramadan.
In a press released on March 19, 2026, Filani characterized Eid-el-Fitr as a time for sacrifice, discipline, love, and compassion, calling on Nigerians to uphold the lessons acquired during Ramadan by fostering peace, tolerance, and unity throughout the nation.
He believes Nigeria urgently requires unity and a shared dedication to create a nation where all citizens can coexist in peace, dignity, and joy.
“During this Eid-el-Fitr celebration, I extend my congratulations to our Muslim brothers and sisters for successfully completing Ramadan, a time that imparts lessons of patience, sacrifice, and devotion to God. These qualities are essential for Nigeria during this crucial period,” he stated.
Filani emphasized that the existing difficulties confronting the nation demand prayer, genuine intent, and accountable leadership, urging Nigerians to maintain hope for a more prosperous and peaceful nation.
He urged political leaders, religious organizations, and citizens to take the opportunity of Eid-el-Fitr to contemplate the importance of national unity, harmonious living, and dedication to justice and equity.
“My hope this season is for peace to be restored throughout Nigeria, for our citizens to find genuine joy, and for us to create a country where everyone feels valued and secure,” Filani remarked.
The YPP presidential Aspirant also called on Nigerians to keep praying for the nation and to back initiatives focused on bringing stability, economic growth, and security throughout the country.
