ABEOKUTA – Leaders and key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Oke-Ogun community of Abeokuta North Local Government Area have declared their strong support for the re-election of Hon. Babatunde Tella, as member, Ogun State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
At a stakeholders meeting spearheaded by the APC leader in Oke-Ogun and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Broadcast Media, Prince Ifekayode Akinbode, the leaders unanimously endorsed Hon. Tella as the party’s consensus candidate for the Assembly seat.
This position was formally captured in a communiqué jointly signed by 47 prominent stakeholders representing the four wards in the community.
They cited Tella’s impactful representation in the Ogun State House of Assembly, his accessibility to constituents, and his commitment to grassroots development as key reasons for their support.
According to them, his continued service would bring even greater progress to the Oke-Ogun community.
They equally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Adeola Olamilekan Yayi as the party’s presidential and governorship candidates.
In their remarks, the leaders commended President Tinubu’s bold reforms and visionary leadership, expressing confidence that his continued administration would further strengthen Nigeria’s development and enhance the well-being of its citizens.
They also reaffirmed their backing of Senator Adeola, describing him as a seasoned grassroots politician with the experience, capacity, and political network required to effectively lead Ogun State.
Addressing the meeting, Prince Akinbode further praised Tella’s visible achievements in grassroots engagement and his consistent delivery of democratic dividends, noting that the lawmaker has earned the trust and confidence of the people and deserves the opportunity to build on his accomplishments.
The stakeholders also resolved to intensify grassroots mobilisation across all wards to secure victory for APC candidates in the 2027 elections, while sustaining unity and political strength within the Oke-Ogun community.
