I’ll Bring My Three Decades Of Governance , Public Service Experience To Senator Yayi Leadership, Ogun Deputy Governorship Candidate

ABEOKUTA – Newly unveiled Deputy Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Mrs. Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun, has described her nomination as a call to duty and an opportunity to deploy over three decades of governance and public service experience towards the development of the state.

Speaking during her official unveiling as the running mate to APC Governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), Mrs. Adegunwa-Balogun expressed gratitude to the party leadership and pledged unwavering commitment to the vision of a prosperous and inclusive Ogun State.

She noted that her extensive experience spanning more than 30 years in leadership, governance and public service had adequately prepared her for the responsibility ahead.

“I see this nomination as a call to duty and a privilege to serve. My over three decades of experience in various leadership and governance roles, both in the corporate world and public service, have prepared me for this moment. I will bring all that experience to bear in support of a prosperous Ogun State under the distinguished leadership of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.

“Over the years, I have witnessed governance at close quarters. These experiences have given me a deeper understanding of public service, its challenges, its positive impact on society and the sacred responsibility it places on leaders,” she said.

The deputy governorship candidate emphasized that her nomination transcends personal ambition, describing it as a collective opportunity to deepen inclusion and strengthen citizen participation in governance.

She outlined the APC ticket’s vision of a people-centered government that delivers development across all communities and guarantees shared prosperity for residents.

Mrs. Adegunwa-Balogun further pledged to serve with integrity, accountability and humility, while working closely with Senator Adeola to bridge the gap between government and the grassroots.

“This nomination is not about me. It is about our shared responsibility to build a better Ogun State. It is about ensuring the inclusion of women, youth and all citizens in shaping the future of our state.

“Our goal is simple: to build a state where governance responds to the needs of the people, where development leaves no one behind, and where prosperity is shared by all.

“I commit to serving with integrity, accountability and deep respect for every citizen. I will work to strengthen the connection between governance and the grassroots, ensuring that policies and programmes reflect the needs and aspirations of our communities alongside my principal, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola,” she added.

Mrs. Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun is a daughter of popular Ijebu business merchant, Alhaji Seleem Adegunwa, the owner of Rites Foods which produces BiGi drinks, Fearless Energy drink and  BiGi sausage.
