NDC Guber Candidate, Odusina Woos Muslims, Unveils Wealth Creation Agenda For Ogun
ABEOKUTA – The governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, in Ogun State, Dr. Bolaji Marie Odusina, and her deputy, Hon. Adeyemi Yunus Adesina, have visited the Ansar-ud-deen Central Mosque in Abeokuta to seek the support and prayers of Muslim faithful.
The visit took place on Friday, where the candidate and her deputy also joined other Muslim faithful to observe the Jumat prayer.
Our correspondent, who was at the mosque, reports that Muslim men and women received the governorship candidate and her deputy with enthusiasm.
The Chief Imam of the mosque, Sheikh Yunus Odekunle, commended Dr. Odusina for her courage and contributions to humanity.
Sheikh Odekunle described her as a woman of good gesture with a clear vision for Ogun State.
He also prayed for the candidate and wished her success in the 2027 governorship election.
The Chairman of Ansar-ud-deen, Abeokuta branch, Alhaji Ambaliu Ishola, also commended Dr. Odusina for her developmental plans for the state.
Alhaji Ishola urged her not to relent in her efforts and wished her well in her political journey.
He also urged her to make the people of Ogun State proud if she emerges as the next governor in 2027.
The National Chairman of Ansar-ud-deen, Alhaji Jimoh Popoola, said the governorship candidate had done well by choosing one of their members as her deputy.
He said the group would support her ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Speaking with newsmen, Dr. Marie Odusina said she visited the mosque to seek spiritual blessings and the support of Muslim men and women.
She also said that, if elected, her administration would create wealth for the people of Ogun State.
Dr. Odusina promised to bring about changes in the State, if given the opportunity to serve them.
“I want to thank the muslim women and men for recieving me wholeheartedly today, i am elated but i told them i will not disappoint them if elected the next governor in 2027.
“My manifestoes is very clear, it is 12 points, what i will do and how i will do it with time line so not just renewed hope, “hope in vain”, new plan, new strategy, new promise with time line. My message to the people, hope that is certain has come to stay, from now on let them all wake up with joy and rejoicing that at long last for our children and for ourselves, real wealth creation is yet to stay” she concluded
