Pelican Valley To Commission New Ecostay Apartments In Ogun, Hand Over Keys To Landlords

ABEOKUTA – Pelican-Valley Nigeria Limited is set to commission the second phase of its Pelican Ecostay Apartments on October 18, 2026, in an event that will also feature the official handover of keys to new property owners.

The commissioning marks another milestone in the development of the company’s eco-friendly residential community at Pelican Brief Estate, located along the Masa-Kobape-Abeokuta corridor of Ogun State.

In a statement issued by the company on Sunday, Pelican-Valley said the event would celebrate the completion of another phase of the development and the arrival of new landlords into its growing community.

According to the real estate company, the project reflects its commitment to delivering quality homes, maintaining construction standards and fulfilling its obligations to property owners.

“We don’t just build homes—we deliver on promises and create lasting legacies,” the company said.

The commissioning will be led by the Chief Executive Officer of Pelican-Valley Nigeria Limited, Amb. (Dr.) Babatunde Adeyemo, popularly known as the “Poster Boy of Real Estate Realism.”

The company described the development as an eco-luxury residential project strategically positioned along the rapidly developing Abeokuta economic corridor, with offerings targeted at both Nigerian investors and members of the diaspora.

Pelican-Valley said the location and nature of the development could make the apartments attractive to investors seeking rental income and long-term property appreciation, particularly as economic and residential activities continue to expand along the corridor.

The company also highlighted what it described as its focus on transparent documentation, verified land titles, construction updates and project delivery as key factors underpinning its appeal to diaspora investors.

For Nigerians living abroad, the developer said, the project offers an opportunity to invest in physical assets while benefiting from the company’s development and documentation processes.

The company further said the upcoming handover represents the practical application of its philosophy of “Real Estate Realism”—an approach it says is centred on delivering tangible structures rather than relying solely on promises to investors.

Beyond the apartments, Pelican-Valley said the wider Pelican Brief Estate development is designed to appeal to buyers seeking residential, retirement, vacation and investment properties.

The October 18 commissioning will also mark the scheduled end of the company’s promotional discount campaign for selected properties within the development.

Pelican-Valley urged prospective buyers interested in acquiring units or plots under the promotional offer to take advantage of the opportunity before the campaign closes.

The company said the commissioning and handover would further demonstrate its progress in developing the Pelican Brief community and strengthening its relationship with existing and prospective property owners.

For the new landlords, however, the highlight of the event will be the formal receipt of keys to their properties—a development the company described as another important step in its promise to turn property investments into completed, tangible assets.
