MIWA Begins Sales Of Stickers, Daily Tickets, Badges In Ogun

ABEOKUTA – As part of steps to provide succor for its members, Military Widows Association has began sales of printable emblems such as stickers, daily tickets, and badges to commercial motorcycle owners and taxi drivers across the country.

Recall that, President Muhammadu Buhari in 2022 at the Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration in Abuja, called on MDAs, Corporate organizations and members of the public to donate generously for the welfare of Military widows and their dependants.

MIWA in a letter addressed to the Ogun state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun said it has commenced the sales of the daily tickets across the 20 local government areas of the state.

In a letter jointly signed by the National President, Mrs. Veronica Gift Aloko and Secretary, Mrs. Deborah Abel said the proceed from the sales of tickets shall be channeled towards the military, police and paramilitary widows and their dependants.

The association, therefore, urged all council chairmen in the state to cooperate with the revenue collectors for smooth operation in their locality.

THE ENCOUNTER NEWS gathered that, the Chairman, Park and Garages in Lagos state, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo) supervised the sales of the tickets and remitted same to the association.
