Adebutu Should Beware Of Scammers, Moshood Adeshina Remains Authentic APP Chairman – Candidates

ABEOKUTA – Members and candidates of Action People’s Party (APP) in Ogun state have warned PDP governorship candidate in the state, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu to beware of impostor parading himself as APP Chairman in the state.
This warning, according to them became imperative following the adoption of the PDP governorship candidate by some people claiming to be APP executive led by one Martins Abiola.
THE ENCOUNTER NEWS reports that, APP alongside other nine political parties on Monday adopted Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu as their governorship candidate.
But the party’s candidates in a press release made available to THE ENCOUNTER NEWS on Thursday, said Alhaji Moshood Adeshina and Hon. Michael Adeniran are the authentic APP Chairman and Secretary respectively in the state.
In the press release collectively signed by all the National Assembly candidates of the party said the impostor, Mr. Martins Abiola was never a member of the party, stressing that he cannot represent them.
They called on Hon. Adebutu or any other political parties in the state wishing to work with APP to relate directly with their Chairman, Alhaji Moshood Adeshina as recognized by INEC.
They said, the impostor, Martins Abiola and three others have already been charged to court for impersonation with the case fixed to 22nd March, 2023.
“We wish to state unequivocally that, we have not endorsed or declare our support for Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, instead, we have carefully observed that the only candidate that can take this state to the eldorado is Prince Dapo Abiodun.
“We hereby once again affirm our belief in the leadership of the State Chairman, Alhaji Moshood Adeshina and his Secretary, Hon. Michael Adeniran. The impostor, Mr. Martins is never a member of the party (APP) and as candidates of the party, we don’t know Mr. Martins and he cannot represent us.
“If Hon. Ladi Adebutu gives him money on behalf of the candidates and the party, that’s his own problem. We are not in any alliance with Hon. Ladi Adebutu.”
