Guber Poll: Ogun Action Alliance Guber Candidate, Adeyemi Becomes New Bride, As Eight Opposition Parties Set To Adopt Him

ABEOKUTA – The Governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in Ogun State, Dr. Samuel Adeyemi is set to emerge as the consensus governorship candidate in the state following his adoption by about eight opposition parties in the state.

The eight political parties have agreed to form a new force and resolved to adopt the AA candidate.

According to the political parties they are forming an alliance with the AA guber candidate ahead of the Saturday governorship and House of Assembly elections.

The AA governorship candidate in the state, is a veterinary Doctor at the age of 22; a Pharmacist; holder of the LL.B degree with Honours and a chartered accountant.

Our reporter reliably gathered that this alliance was without the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Speaking on the latest development, the leader of AA in the state, Hon. Dapo Adeyemi confirmed the meetings with different stakeholders including political parties and individuals.

Adeyemi said about eight political parties were already in talks with the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance.

He said the talks had reached an advanced stage with him, adding that agreement has almost been perfected and the resolution would soon be made open.

Adeyemi, however, declined to disclose the parties involved.

He said “the leadership of AA has just finished speaking with some of the opposition parties, about eight of them.

“We just finalized a meeting with them and we are hopeful, because of the programmes of the party and the fact that the candidate is someone  to be reckoned with.

“We are very hopeful that the man has not been polluted in terms of credibility, capability and programmes. We have a better chance to be adopted by the eight political parties.

“They said the party is lucky to have the candidate, considering his programmes. Despite that, he is not a moneybag.”

Attempts to get comments from some opposition political parties on the repeated move failed as they did not answer calls and had not responded to messages sent to them.
