Ogun First Lady Advises Youth Against ‘Japa’ Syndrome
ABEOKUTA – Nigerian youths have been reminded that Nigeria is a blessed Nation with unparalleled human and natural resources waiting to be accessed.
The wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun gave the charge in Abeokuta on Wednesday while addressing congregants at the ongoing 2023 Holy Convocation of Victory Life Bible Church Int’l tagged “Divine Speed”.
Admonishing the youth to tap into various opportunities in every field of human endeavours in the country, the Ogun State First Lady noted that most Nigerians abroad are always not treated as first class citizens.
On the young ones who are always eager to travel abroad for greener pastures, Mrs Abiodun charged them to look inward as there is no place like home.
“Nigeria is the best country in the world. Be a Nigerian any day, any time, any where”, she said.
Earlier her sermon, entitled “The God Factor”, the wife of the Lead Pastor of Victory Life Bible Church Int’l, Rev. Mrs. Fola Achudume charged everyone to live an impactful life.
According to her, the time has come for Christians to understand that God’s mercy is the key to achieving the much required success in any socio-economic, spiritual, academic and other goals in life.
Emphasizing that no achievement can last longer if God is not prioritized, Rev. Mrs Achudume noted that any position attained without God’s backing will fade away especially in the face of challenges.
While informing that God created people for different races, the cleric likened the Christian journey in life to a race, a battle and the life of a farmer, adding that having success in any life’s journey is not a function of an individual’s knowledge and strength but God’s intervention.
The Save Her Foundation President who posited that those that approach life without taken into consideration the God’s factor always run in vain pointing out that life can be quite overwhelming if the mercy of God is absent.
Also speaking, Apostle Lawrence Achudume saw the need for his colleagues on the pulpit to be disciplined and fearless in preaching the gospel.
The week long programme is continuing with word ministration from the widely traveled cleric, Apostle Joshua Selman, and other well-known Ministers of the gospel.
