ABEOKUTA – The Alake and paramount ruler of England, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo has expressed optimism to the end of insurgency in the country.
Alake spoke on Thursday at the new year party organized by the President, Egba Economic Summit, Dr. Gbenga Adeoye.
Alake opined that, with the growing threats against the insurgents, Nigeria would become a safer haven for citizens and investors in no time.
The monarch emphatically noted that year 2026 will return Nigeria to a country where everyone can travel anywhere and anytime as Insecurity will become a thing of the past.
He praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his aggressive fight against the insurgents stressing that, the president needed support of all and sundry to combat insecurity totally.
In her sermon, Pastor Funmi Kushimo from Alleluia Christian Chapel encouraged everyone to move closer to God in 2026 as the year will be a good year.
Dignatories at this year’s event include, Dr. Tokunbo Gbadebo, the Olori of Alake of Egbaland, Engr. Ola Sobande (a founding member and one of the brains behind the formation of Egba Economic Summit Group) who served Shell in UK, Brunel and Nigeria, Mr. Yinka Chris Coker (immediate past President of Egba Economic Summit and oil and Gas guru from Mobil who retired into Farming in Ogun State.
Others are; Prof.Odebunmi, Engr. Tokunbo Odebunmi, Mrs. Jokotade Odebunmi and the children, Mrs W.M. Soleye the wife of late Dr. Onaolapo Soleye; the former minister of Finance.
The CEO, Jelili Onifade of JELFAD Petroleum also joined the rising profile of dignitaries at the event.

In his remark, the Host, Dr. Gbenga Adeoye and his wife Mrs. Kemi Adeoye thanked all guests, noting that their coming was a show of love and fellowship of a kind and eating together and dancing creates bonding for the year and promised to make it better in 2027.
The family showcased Adire Fabrics in different designs to promote the Adire business of Egbaland and the creative skill of fashion design using Adire and other tops.
