AKWA – The police in Akwa Ibom have arrested a man, Akaninyene Sunday Okokon, for allegedly killing his 16-year-old daughter, Abasiono, for using his sim card to call her boyfriend.
Okokon along with 195 others were paraded at the command’s headquarters, in Uyo on Friday.
Commissioner of Police said the suspect was arrested by operatives of Ikot Ebo Divisional Headquarters.
The CP said the father beat his daughter until she fainted and died for using his sim card to call his boyfriend.
He said the victim was rushed to a prayer house instead of a hospital.
