APC’s Progressive Heritage Holds Strategic Meeting, Champions Unity, Integration Among Party Members
ABEOKUTA – In a way to further improve on the membership drive, Progressive Heritage Foundation, an arm of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun state, has called for unity, cooperation and love among party members in the state to solidify the party’s successes at the polls.
The group also called on its members to go back to their polling units and wards and integrate with other party members to decide the next generation of leaders in the state.
The State Coordinator, Progressive Heritage Foundation, Comrade Clement Adeniji disclosed this on Thursday at the strategic meeting of the group held at Ibara GRA residence of APC national leader, Aremo Olusegun Osoba.
Adeniji, in a communique issued at the end of the meeting, lamented the neglect and rejection of APC members loyal to the former governor of the state, Aremo Olusegun Osoba.
He charged members of the group to mobilize for aspirants who would protect their interests without creating division among party members.
He urged everyone to remain committed to the party’s ideals and thanked God for His faithfulness and the gift of life, noting that the last serious progressive meeting was held in 2018 before the last general election.
Speakers from each senatorial district addressed the members, affirmed that the party leadership would solely handle the selection of candidates for the 2027 elections, urging every other group within the party to refrain from endorsing any aspirant to avoid division.
The communique read further that “Members were urged to relate with each other in love and accommodation and give unalloyed loyalty and support to Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration.”
The meeting was attended by members across the 20 local government areas of the state.
Notably among the party leaders that attended the meeting are; former speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Suraj Adekumbi, Hon. Olalekan Ademolake, Ogun Central APC Chairman, former Chairman, Imeko-Afon local government, Hon. Yaya Fadipe, among others.
