Brussels Sports Begins Registration For Fourth Edition Of Ogun Women Run

ABEOKUTA – Registration has officially commenced for the fourth edition of the Ogun Women Run, with organisers announcing that interested participants can now register at the All Stars Secretariat, MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta starting from Thursday, 5th March 2026.
The women-focused 5km race is scheduled to hold on April 11, 2026, in the Ogun State capital, as the event continues its steady rise as one of the foremost platforms promoting women’s health and wellness in the state.
Organised by Brussels Sports Management Limited, the race has grown significantly since its inception in 2022. What began as a simple fitness initiative has evolved into a vibrant movement championing women’s empowerment, unity, and community engagement.
Importantly, organisers have reiterated that the race is open strictly to women aged 25 years and above, stressing that the event is not designed for professional athletes but for everyday women who want to prioritise their health, stay active, and build confidence through sport.
Managing Director of Brussels Sports Management Limited, Mrs. Yetunde Johnson, assured that preparations are in full swing to deliver a seamless and memorable event.
“We are working round the clock to ensure that the 2026 edition is bigger and better in every aspect. All necessary arrangements are being put in place to stage a well-organized and impactful race for participants,” she said.
Prospective participants are encouraged to complete their registration early as momentum builds toward the April showdown.
The maiden edition of the race was won by Olude Kehinde Ajoke in 2022, setting the tone for what has now become a notable annual celebration of strength, wellness, and active living among women.
Ogun women will once again converge on Abeokuta, this time aiming to dethrone Aderonke Alabi, who claimed the top prize in the third edition.
