Buhari Worsen Nigeria’s Situation, Downgraded Economy For Eight Years – Oba Odutala

ABEOKUTA – As the economy continues to bite harder, Nigerians have blamed former President Muhammadu Buhari for the current economy comatose.

Oba Adewunmi Odutala, the Onibudo of Ayetoro-Budo Ota in Ado-Odo Ota local government area of Ogun state accused the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration of worsening the state of Nigeria’s economy for eight years.

Speaking at his annual Festival of Praise held at his palace in Ayetoro Budo-Ota with the theme: King of Glory, Oba Odutala acknowledged that President Bola Tinubu’s administration inherited a bad situation.

The monarch declared that the Buhari administration had made the economy several times worse than it met it.

He said, “The government that is coming on board is a new government and it is too early to judge the current administration. But I want the government to know that there’s poverty in the land, people are suffering, they need to quickly put some policies in place that will reduce the high level of poverty.

“If you have been following the economy of this country, we will know that Nigeria has been sitting on a keg of gunpowder for a very long time.

“Unfortunately, the Buhari 8years administration is the worst thing to have happened to Nigerians in terms of economic development, instead of lifting us out of poverty, we faced a downgraded economy for 8 years.

“Nigeria’s economy is a dead horse still standing. Tinubu inherited a dead horse. Let us keep praying for the present administration so that they get it on time.

“To remove Nigerians out of this poverty. There’s anguish in the land, people are suffering, the government should put policies in place that will reduce all this hardship.”

Earlier in his sermon, the intercontinental Evangelist of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Johnson Kalejaiye advised Nigerian youths to refrain from relocating abroad, assuring them of a better Nigeria.

“I’m very optimistic, Nigeria will be better. A cow doesn’t know the value of its tail until it is cut off. They cannot know what we have here until they travel. There’s freedom here.”
