Community Threatens To Evict Resident Over Refusal To Provide Husband’s Whereabouts To Police

OSOGBO – Youths of Agoayo Community Development Association in Osogbo, Osun State has vowed to evict one Mrs. Alayande Mariam from her husband’s house for failure to declare her husband’s whereabouts to the Police.

THE ENCOUNTER NEWS had earlier reported that, Police in Osun State on October 16, 2023 declared Mr. Ridwan Alayande wanted after his bisexual partner, Akeem Ademola was arrested for homosexual.

Alayande, had since disappeared from public space after the incident.

However, Police have continued to lay siege at the residence of Mr. Alayande located at 28B, Agoayo LCDA, Ilesha in Osogbo, Osun State Capital.

Sources told our correspondent that, the policemen heavily armed had on two occasions invaded the community in the middle of the night with intention of arresting Alayande unaware.

They have also written to the LCDA Chairman to assist in providing the suspect.

But on Sunday, the community youths in a letter dated May 19, 2024 appealed to the suspect’s wife, Mariam Alayande to disclose the whereabouts of her husband in order to save the community from an incessant police siege.

The letter reads in part: “Following the incessant presence of heavy armed policemen in the community over your husband’s bisexual act, which has negatively portrayed our community in bad light.

“It is on record that this is the second time the armed policemen will storm the community in a commando-like in search of your husband.

“In view of this, you are prevailed by this letter to produce the whereabouts of your husband, Mr. Ridwan Alayande to the police in order to save our community from impending danger anymore.

“Note that, failure to cooperate with the Police on this matter, the community youths will not hesitate to take drastic action against you.”
