MINNA – A Niger State High Court 6 has ordered the arrest of the Managing Director of Polaris Bank, Omokayode Lawal and the Minna Branch manager for contempt of court.
The presiding judge, Justice Maimuna Abubakar, issued the arrest order Tuesday after the defendants failed to honour the court summons following an allegation of tax evasion to the tune of more than N1 billion.
Justice Maimuna Abubakar, in her ruling, ordered police officers to effect the arrest of the defendants.
She adjourned the case to December 13, 2024 for the arraignment of the defendants.
