Stop Calling Pastors, Church Scam Or Risk God’s Wrath, Apostle Achudume Cautions Nigerians
ABEOKUTA – The General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church, Apostle Achudume, has cautioned individuals who label Jesus Christ, the Church, and pastors as scams to desist from such blasphemous statements, warning that they risk facing God’s wrath.
Apostle Achudume gave this warning while preaching during the 2024 Christmas Carol and Service of Nine Lessons at the Victory City, Ajebo Road.
Noting the root cause of such skepticism, he emphasized that those who doubt Jesus’ existence or call Him a scam do so because they have not personally encountered Him.
According to him, the issue of doubting the Church is not new, dating back to the early Christian era.
Apostle Achudume pointed out that skepticism is currently on the rise because people have allowed life’s challenges to lead them astray, causing many to lose focus on God’s sovereignty.
“I have proved God since I was young,” Apostle Achudume said. “Despite the challenges I have faced, God has been faithful. Issues of life cannot tell me that God is not faithful.”
While urging believers to remain in Christ, he assured them that they would experience inner joy despite life’s challenges.
According to the cleric, those who call Jesus a scam are lost in the world.
Apostle Achudume also emphasized the importance of holding onto hope, especially during difficult times. “Despite the economic challenges in the world, and the suffering many Nigerians are facing, Jesus has come to give hope,” he said. “We must continue to promote the love of God.”
The Carol service featured readings from Isaiah 9:2, Luke 1:1-7, Luke 1:18-14, and Isaiah 60:1-7.
The event was characterized by colorful and fulfilling activities, including hymns, dance, songs, praise, and worship.
Dignitaries in attendance included the wife of the former Governor of Ogun State, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun, who read the third lesson.
Also in attendance were other notable guests, including ministers from different denominations and the General Manager of the Ogun State Television, Mr. Tunde Kasim.
