LAGOS – The Chairman, Board of Editorial, The Encounter Newspaper, Dr. Eddy Ademosu has been conferred with Doctorate Degree from the prestigious Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo State.
Dr. Eddy bagged Ph.D in Mass Communication at the 16th convocation of Ajayi Crowther University on Thursday.
The reputation and brand manager, had previously possessed double Master Degrees in Business Administration (MBA) and Communication Arts (MCA) from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife and University of Ibadan respectively.
Eddy, a consummate corporate communication practitioner with over 30years of varied experience in financial/banking communication, advertising, public relations and brand management, is the past president of the banking industry body, Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks in Nigeria (ACAMB).
Presently, he works as the Group Executive Officer (GEO), MC-Clique Brands Associates, a brand communication consultancy outfit.
Before his present assignment, he was the Group Head/Assistant General Manager, Corporate Communication with the defunct Intercontinental Bank Plc (now Access Bank Plc) between 2011 and 2012.
He was the Senior Corporate Affairs Manager with Union Bank of Nigeria Plc between 2006 – 2011. He was also the Head, Corporate Affairs Department, Wema Bank Plc with oversight responsibilities for formulating and executing Public Relations Policy Programme between 1996 to 2005.
In addition to having published several industry articles including the Doctoral Thesis on “Public Relations Practice and Post 1996 Banking Industry”, Eddy has attended and made presentations at professional seminars, workshops, and conferences globally, most recently at the African Public Relations Associations (APRA)’s workshops in Kumasi, Ghana and Abuja, Nigeria.
An award winner, Eddy was named the “Most Outstanding Public Relations Professional” for the Year 2004 by the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Ogun State chapter and also holds a Senior Honorary Membership if the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
Dr. Eddy Ademosu is also an Alumnus of Ogun State Polytechnic (Moshood Abiola Polytechnic), Abeokuta where he holds Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication.
He is married with four children.
