ABEOKUTA – Barely a week after being bestowed the Prestige Newspaper Award, the Encounter News, has once again received the Best Media Brand Award in Ogun state.
The prestigious award was given to the media organization by Synergy Interlinks Network and it was presented by the Pelican Valley CEO, Dr. Babatunde Adeyemo.
The award ceremony took place at the Marque within the sprawling Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Receiving the award, the Editor – In – Chief of the Encounter News, Mr. Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji, commended the organizer for finding the news medium “worthy” of the honour.
Ogunsiji said he would not take the Award for granted and dedicated it to “the upliftment of journalism profession in Nigeria.”
