Ex-Ogun NLC Chairman, Emmanuel Bankole Loses Father At 97

ABEOKUTA – The Bankole family in Ewekoro local government area of Ogun state has announced the death of their Patriarch, Chief Samson Adeyemi Bankole, who died on Friday at the age of 97.
In a release by Comrade Emmanuel Bankole, the Nonagenarian died in his sleep at his Lagos residence on April 11.
According to the release, the funeral programme would commence at the Bankole’s family house at Shitta street, Dopemu, Agege in Lagos with a service of songs from Christian denominations between Monday 12th May to Wednesday, 14th May, 2025.
“In total submission to the will of Almighty God, we announced the transition into glory of our father, grandfather and great grandfather Chief Samson Adeyemi Bankole, who passed on peaceful into glory in his sleep at the age of 97 years on Friday 11th April 2025 at his residence in Lagos.
“The funeral programme will commence at the Bankole’s Family house, Shitta Street, Dopemu, Agege with Service of songs by different Christian denominations from Monday 12th May to Wednesday 14th May 2025.
“The Christian Wake Keep holds at Bankole’s Family Compound, Isofin, via Papalanto, Ewekoro Local Government, Ogun State on Thursday 15th May 2025, while the Funeral Service comes up at Christ Anglican Church, Isofin via Papalanto, Ewekoro Local Government, on Friday 16th May 2024 by 12.noon.”
The late Bankole was survived by children, grand-children and great-grand children.
