GNI Commends Radio OAP, Hope Olaleye’s Guinness World Record-breaking Marathon Talk Show
ABEOKUTA – As radio host, Hope Olaleye gears up to break the Guinness World Record for the longest marathon radio talk show, the member representing Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, has voiced his admiration and support for this remarkable endeavour.
The week-long event kicks off on Wednesday and aims to celebrate the diverse culture and inspiring stories of Ogun State over a continuous 168-hour broadcast.
In a letter to Olaleye, a native of Ijaka-Isale in Yewa North Local Government, the federal lawmaker described the feat as “heroic,” recognizing the host’s commitment to highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Ogun State.
He acknowledged the significant challenges that come with such an ambitious undertaking but emphasized that Olaleye’s efforts extend beyond merely setting a record.
“As your representative in the Green Chamber, I am truly inspired by your commitment to our local culture and community. In the coming days, may your passion carry you through moments of reflection and fatigue. Draw strength from the resilience and hope that resides within you.” GNI stated.
He further noted that Olaleye’s initiative serves to weave together the threads of the community’s past, present, and future aspirations.

Olaleye’s marathon talk show begins on Wednesday, July 31, and will run for an entire week, with Guinness World Records officials monitoring the attempt to ensure it meets all required standards.
