Gov. Abiodun’s Aide, Ifekayode Hails Appointment Of Hon. Adejumo ‘Motun’ As Special Assistant

ABEOKUTA – The Senior Special Assistant on Broadcast and Electronic Media to Ogun State Governor, Prince Ifekayode Akinbode, has lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for appointing his kinsman, Hon. Adesina Adejumo, also known as Motun, as Special Assistant.
Motun who hailed from ward 15, Ilewo/Isaga Orile in Abeokuta North local government area of Ogun State was appointed on March 2, 2025.
His appointment was contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Mr Tokunbo Talabi.
Prince Akinbode appreciated the governor for honouring Hon. Motun, a loyal party man as Special Assistant.
He equally commended the APC Organising Secretary in the State, Alhaji Yemi Adelani Igwe for his contribution and recommendation to the governor.
Prince Akinbode, lauded the governor’s decision, describing it as a well-deserved recognition of Motun’s loyalty and dedication to the party.
Akinbode who is the APC Chairman, Oke-Ogun Community of Abeokuta North local government area of Ogun State, said the appointment was a reflection of the governor’s commitment to inclusivity and merit-based rewards.
According to him, Motun’s appointment is a testament to his tireless efforts and commitment to the party’s growth and development.
Akinbode said the appointment reflects Governor Abiodun’s commitment to bringing competent and loyal individuals into government to support his administration’s developmental agenda.
According to him, the inclusion of Motun in the government would help deepen the administration’s connection with the people, particularly at the community level.
Akinbode, therefore, congratulated the new appointee, urging him to justify the confidence reposed on him by contributing meaningfully to the continued development of Ogun State.
“This appointment is a reward for his loyalty and belief in the party leadership,” Akinbode said.
He said, “Motun’s appointment is expected to strengthen the party’s structure and enhance its outreach in Abeokuta North and beyond. As Special Assistant, he is likely to play a pivotal role in advising the governor on key issues affecting the state and driving initiatives that promote development and progress.”
Akinbode further described Governor Abiodun’s decision to appoint Motun as a strategic move to consolidate his leadership at the grassroots.
