Group Commends Tinubu, Adeola On Federal University Of Technology Ilaro

ABEOKUTA – The announcement of the assent of President Bola Tinubu to the bill seeking to upgrade the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro to Federal University of Technology Ilaro has been described as heartwarming and sweet news to the ears of the good people of Ogun West Senatorial district.

The bill sponsored by the senator representing Ogun West senatorial district at the National Assembly, Senator Olamilekan Adeola and read for the first time about nine years ago, finally became an act of parliament following the announcement on Wednesday by Senate President, Goodwill Akpabio that the bill has been signed into law by President Tinubu.

A foremost social advocacy group, the Ogun West Initiative, gave the commendation in a press statement issued on Wednesday night. It said the assent of the bill is a testament to vision, passion and unflinching commitment to people-focused leadership.

The Convener of the group, Bolaji Adeniji, said the development not only brings Yewa-Awori its first Federal Government university institution, it increases the capacity of the institution to elevate its ability to contribute more functionally to the body of knowledge at that level.

According to him, “The value chain of a University Community cannot be overstated and we can only salivate at the shinning prospects. This latest intervention by Senator Olamilekan Adeola is further demonstration of his unprecedented and progressive representation that has become a norm since two years ago that Almighty God in His benevolence, bequeathed him to Ogun West”.

“The Ogun West Initiative is super proud of this development for it aligns with our objectives of identifying and pushing the frontiers of anything and everything that moves Ogun West forward in terms of social and economic prosperity”.

Adeniji stated further, “As he continues to raise the bar of stellar performance, we commend him and encourage him to sustain this walk along the path of the greats – A transformational and quintessential leader in his own rights. Indeed, Senator Adeola is steadily and sure-footedly stamping his passport for higher service”.

The group reserved special praise for President Bola Tinubu on the success of the bill. “We must give the ultimate commendation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for conceding to that vision and giving his assent to the bill. We are further convinced that the relationship between the senator and Mr. President, will always bring prosperity to Ogun State.

“Congratulations to Yewa-Awori and congratulations to Ogun State for adding another feather to its illustrious cap”; he added.
