Imala Residents Decry Deplorable Condition Of Community Road, Write Governor Abiodun

ABEOKUTA – Residents of Imala community of ward 14 in Abeokuta North Local Government, Ogun State have appealed to Governor Dapo Abiodun to assuage the suffering of the people by reconstructing the 7.5 kilometres of the deplorable road in the community.

This was made known in a statement personally signed by Imala Development Coordinator, Mr Steven Adetomiwa and made available to journalists in Abeokuta.

According to the statement, the old road was constructed by Chief Obafemi Awolowo and has lost its durability, thus, has affected the development of the community.

The statement reads “on behalf of Imala ward 14 community in Abeokuta North Local Government, we write to appreciate your elongated two-term tenure as  Governor of  Ogun State and wishing you many more prosperous future endeavours.

“Imala, the headquarters for regional Westerns administration in Abeokuta North Local Government hereby appeal to you for the construction of the 7.5 kilometres of the road that across the township.

“This constituency, ward 14 in Abeokuta North Local Government voted massively for your elections on the two terms for the Governorship.

“Your willingness and assistance on this project will herald our dividends of democracy from your tenureship of ruling Ogun state. Equally, this will be our best opportunity for the development of this constituency with your directives on the construction of this road.

“The old road was constructed by Chief Obafemi Awolowo and the deplorable road conditions has affected the development of this community.

“Chief Ifekayode the SA to your administrative office and Honourable Tella could testify to this request as being made in their previous campaign slogan.”
