NigeriaDecides2023: Segun Showunmi Thumbs Up INEC On BVAS, Optimistic Of Victory For Atiku
ABEOKUTA – The former spokesman to PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Otunba Segun Showunmi has applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the introduction of the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS).
Showunmi who spoke to journalists shortly after casting his vote at Oju Agemo Ward 6, unit 2 equally commended the peaceful process of the election.
He said the Naira scarcity has greatly influenced the electorate to vote according to their conscience.
He said, “So far the election have been very peaceful, the accreditation process as gone well up to now, by the grace of God it will be a very interesting day.
“People haveare determined to vote according to choice. People will go out in dozen, election goes on till 2pm. Like the National Chairman of INEC have said even the last man on the queue will vote.
“This election is an unusual election, I’m pretty confident. We have said all we needed to say, we are hoping that the valid of history will be good for us.”
