My Father Was A Lover Boy While Alive – Akinmade Eulogizes Father At Wake-Keep
ABEOKUTA – The Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Information and Strategy, Hon. Kayode Akinmade has described his late father, Chief Moses Adenoye Akinmade as a lover boy who enjoyed life to the fullest.
Akinmade said, his late father married spontaneously by marrying 11 wives with about 22 children.
Akinmade, a former commissioner for information and culture in Ondo state, said his father loves women, stressing that, despite the fact that the society allows him to marry many wives, the late Moses Akinmade never leave the house of God.
“My father lives an exemplary life. My father was a lover boy. He built his house at age 25. He married spontaneously. My father goes to church with at least six wives. He loves women.
“In Baptist Church he was a pastor, despite the fact that, the society allows him to marry many wives, he never left God.
“He was a disciplinarian. He was a big farmer, we thank God for his life.”
Also speaking, one of the sons, Segun Akinmade said the late Nonagenarian was generous to the church, on the farm, and community, he did well. He loves children and ensures everyone of them learns one trade or goes to school.
Segun said, their father taught them how to pray and He teaches them not to rely on man.
Speaking on behalf of the grand children, Stephen Akinjojoye described the celebration of life for their great grandfather as significant because it coincided with Valentine’s Day.
In his comment, a veteran journalist, Chief Korede Duyile, said the late Akinmade was an important personality in the Idanre community because of his vast experience in politics, economy and religious matters.
“He was a community leader. He was a great politician. In 1992, he was my ward Chairman and ensures the party became victorious then.”
Dignitaries at the wake keep ceremony are, 2019 PDP Governorship candidate in Ondo state, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, Permanent Secretaries from Ogun state, Permanent Secretaries from Ondo state, and Idanre High Chiefs.
The late Akinmade died last year September at age 98.
