NACJ Honours Ota Rotary Club President, Jackie Kassim With Woman Of Substance, Integrity Award

ABEOKUTA – Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ) has recognized and honoroured Dr. Jackie Adunni Kassim with the Prestigious ”Woman of substance and Integrity Award” at its 2024 Annual Integrity lecture and awards.

Receiving the award, the president, Rotary Club of Ota, Dr. Kassim called for a moral orientation for Nigerians in a bid to imbibe a culture of integrity.

She also admonished youths and Nigerians to exemplify integrity at all times.

Speaking on the state of the nation, she further called on Mr. President to pay attention to the yearnings of Nigerians, put the right set of people in place to give him genuine feedback.

“I think it’s wonderful because I’ve gotten one from the Muslim community as well, and this is coming from the Christian aspect. I’m sure they must have done their research over me.

“It is a wonderful idea and a beautiful thing for me to be picked out for an integrity award.

“Integrity is not something you can buy from the street. You work hard for it and keep your dignity,” she averred.

In her submission, a retired Justice of the Court of Appeal, Justice Oludotun Adefope-Okojie has said until political and election cases are taking out of the court, the judiciary will continue to be corrupt with compromised judges.

Justice Adefope-Okojie made this known while delivering her keynote address on the topic; integrity and patriotism, key factors to building a virile nation.

Speaking at the Nigerian Patriots integrity award and conference with the theme: “integrity is everything,” the retired Justice of the Court of Appeal said meritocracy must be prioritised if Nigeria must go far.

She noted that the absence of integrity and patriotism has been the bane of the country, with a call to deal with fundamental issues in the country.
