Neuro-psychiatric Aro Gets First Female Director Of Administration
ABEOKUTA – The Management of Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital Aro, Abeokuta has announced the appointment of Mrs. Olawunmi Florence Ladeji, as the Substantive and the First Female Director of Administration and Secretary to the Management Board of the hospital, has effect from 11th September, 2025.
This appointment follows her performance at the interview conducted by the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare with subsequent approval of the Permanent Secretary via a letter with reference number SMH.547/T/92 dated 17th October, 2025.
Mrs. Olawunmi Florence Ladeji an indigene of Abeokuta, Ogun State, was born on 15th January, 1972 in Abeokuta.
The new Director of Administration brings a wealth of experience and academic achievements to her new role.
Her educational journey includes obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos in 1998, Masters in Managerial Psychology, 2008 from the University of Ibadan.
Mrs. Ladeji, who started her administrative career in the Administrative department of the hospital on 3rd February, 2003, has demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership, rising through various roles, starting from Administrative Officer II to Deputy Director of Administration and Acting Head of Administration before her latest appointment.
Her professional affiliations include being a Doctoral Fellow of Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management ( CIHRM), Associate, Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria, (AHAN).
She is also a certified attendee of the Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria (ACAN), the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, (ASCON), Advanced Human Resource Training at Topo, Badagry and Egba New Initiative Foundation (ENIF).
She is also a co-opted member of the hospital’s Top Management Committee, secretary and desk officer of the Anti-Corruption Transparency Unit (ACTU) in the hospital, secretary, Pharmacy and Medical Laboratory Internship appointment committee, member, Creche management committee, and Chairman, counseling unit, among others.
Mrs. Ladeji is known for excellence in Performance Management, she is committed to working with the Provost and Medical Director to achieve the vision, mission and fulfillment of the tripartite mandate of excellent clinical service delivery, research, and training of the hospital.
The new Director of Administration’s hobbies are listening to intellectual music, counseling of people with happy ending, traveling and reading.
