ABEOKUTA – As parts of spirited citizens efforts geared towards complimenting government activities lined up to celebrate 50 years of Ogun state’s creation, maverick Abeokuta-based multi-talented broadcaster Awe (real name Olufemi Orunsola), known over the years for culturally rooted, civic-themed music, has released yet another musical banger in audio and video formats.

Encounter News Entertainment desk reports that the freshly released celebratory anthem marking a 50-year milestone (Golden Jubilee) widely associated with Ogun State @ 50 celebrations which is targeted at Ogun sons and daughters at home those in the diaspora including all Ogun residents is now trending on social media platforms while also enjoying airplay on the state-owned television.

Awe, in his self-syled Afro-fusion manner, takes home the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Gateway State with an open call to the major ethnic sub-groups in Ogun state namely: the Egba, Remo, Ijebu, Yewa, Awori and Egun( Ogun) people to join and own the celebrations.
This new song blends pride in the achievements of Ogun state since it’s creation on February 4rd, 1976 from the Old Western State of Nigeria with gratitude and forward-looking optimism about the brighter future of the Gateway state.
