K1 Fans Club Seeks Nigerians’ Forgiveness Over ValueJet Incident

ABEOKUTA – The leadership of the K1 Fans Club Worldwide, an association of like-minded supporters of legendary Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (popularly known as K1 De Ultimate), has appealed to the management of ValueJet Airlines, the Nigerian Civil Aviation industry, and Nigerians at large to, in the spirit of forgiveness, accept the public apology issued by the music icon over the unfortunate incident that occurred last week at the ValueJet boarding area.

In a statement jointly signed by Olamilekan Joseph Bilewu, Worldwide President; Adebari Adeyemi Korodo, National President (Nigeria); Omotayo Oyewoga Fulani, UK President; Oloruntoyin Lawal Adio, Dublin President; Richard Shotayo, Germany President; Muftau Taiwo, Canada President; and Fatai Anbinu, France President, the group described K1 as a respected cultural ambassador who has brought pride to Nigeria through his decades of musical excellence.

The statement acknowledged that the incident was regrettable but not with any intention to disrupt public peace, hence, the prompt display of humility and remorsefulness through the public apology

“We appeal to ValueJet Airlines, aviation regulators, and the Nigerian public to put the matter behind us. K1 has consistently represented Nigeria’s culture positively on the global stage, and we believe this moment calls for understanding and forgiveness,” the statement read in part.

The K1 Fans Club Worldwide reaffirmed its unwavering support for the musician and urged his admirers to continue promoting peace, respect, and unity in line with the values he represents.
