For Ogun Central, the contest promises more intrigue not only for the incumbent who stands at the center of scrutiny, but much more for other genuine aspirants angling to secure the mandate to represent he good people of Ogun Central at the upper chamber of the National Assembly; as constituents demand more than just policy papers; they crave empowerment, projects, human capital development and presence of their representative.
A new reality is however unfolding; the legislature, once regarded as mere lawmaking chamber, has elevated its power to shape lives through project facilitation, empowerment programmes, and constituency development. In this recalibrated legislative landscape, performance is no longer judged by bills passed alone, but by tangible impact delivered in measures that enhances the socioeconomic welfare of the people and the development of the communities.
With the understanding of the foregoing, the senatorial ambition of Otunba Muraina Olatunji Banjoko, better known as Threeco, has gained traction. Like he often says, “My agenda is anchored on inclusivity and accessibility”. Ogun Central needs a senator who will entrench an open-door policy and never be distant from the people.
As the primaries of the APC follows in coming months, Threeco’s entrepreneurial success, philanthropy and philosophy of service, offers compelling argument for his candidacy. His resourcefulness, as supporters believe, will ensure Ogun Central reaps dividends from federal interventions. With the race opening and shaping up, Ogun Central stands at a crossroad, whether to continue with a legislator focused on digital policy, or go with a representative whose strength lies in grassroots connection and tangible empowerment.
Ogun Central can glimpse a new paradigm and the 2027 elections will not be about replacing one senator with another; it will be about redefining what it means to serve.
