ABEOKUTA – The Young Adults Pastor of Jubilee Christian Church International, House of Glory, Abeokuta, Kayode Akinsola, has charged youths in Abeokuta and beyond to remain steadfast in their faith and prioritise their relationship with God amid the distractions of modern society.
Akinsola gave the charge during a youth gathering held at the church auditorium in Isale Abetu, Abeokuta, where he stressed the need for spiritual discipline, purpose-driven living and unwavering commitment to godly values.
He noted that pressures from social media, peer influence and the pursuit of material success had caused many young people to lose sight of their divine purpose.
“Your greatest asset is not your popularity, your possessions or your connections, it is your relationship with God,” he said. “When you focus on God, every other aspect of your life aligns with His purpose.”
The cleric encouraged youths to cultivate a consistent prayer life, study the Word diligently and surround themselves with positive influences that would strengthen their faith.
He also urged them to embrace integrity, hard work and service as key pillars for a fulfilling and purposeful life.
The session, which attracted a large number of young attendees, featured moments of worship, deep reflection and renewed commitment, as participants described the message as enlightening and transformative.
Leaders of the church reiterated their commitment to nurturing young people through mentorship, spiritual guidance and impactful programmes designed to help them thrive spiritually and socially.
The event ended with prayers for the youths and a renewed call for them to live purposefully with God at the centre of their lives.
