‘Save Me, Hon. Olumide Osoba Wants To Kill Me Over 2027 Poll’, Arabambi Cries To DSS, Police

ABEOKUTA – The National Publicity Secretary of Labour Party, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi has appealed to security agencies in Ogun state to save him from alleged assassination plot by the lawmaker representing Abeokuta North/Obafemi Owode/Odeda federal constituency, Hon. Olumide Osoba.

Arabambi, in a petition to the Commissioner of Police and Director DSS in Ogun state through his counsel, Prof. Yemi Oke, SAN accused Hon. Osoba of threatening his life for kicking against Hon. Osoba’s return to the national assembly for the fifth consecutive due to what he termed as “bad representation.”

Arabambi who is showing intention to join the 2027 race for the House of Representatives seat, Abeokuta North, Obafemi Owode and Odeda Federal Constituency, where Olumide Osoba is the current occupant, alleged that the ex – governor’s son had sent messages of threats to him for daring to indicate interest in his seat.

Arabambi, on October 3, 2025 posted on a WhatsApp loop called Ogun Governance Focus, a loop purely meant for Ogun State politics and Nigeria, saying “any clandestine move for continuity of the present status quo in Abeokuta North/Obafemi Owode/Odeda federal constituency in 2027 is doomed to fail and dead on arrival. Therefore, the good people of Abeokuta North Local Government should get ready. Our mumu Don do. O to gee”.

Arabambi explained that, 15 minutes after posting the message, Hon. Olumide Osoba, who is the son of former governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba, sent him a reply saying, “You have been paid as usual. We will meet at the appointed time in the place you would least expect.”

The LP spokesperson further posited that, Hon. Osoba further sent him another message on October 4, 2025 with a Bible quote from Ecclesiastes Chapter 10 vrs 15.

He argued that, by the Biblical quote, Hon. Osoba was making an allusion to the fact that he is a fool, ignorant, misguided person who lacks direction in life.

He described the message as demeaning, insulting, and injurious to his reputation and gross assault on his political and family reputation.

According to Arabambi, Hon. Olumide Osoba is a known politician who has the capacity to deploy political thugs and killers-agents alike to execute his plans and threats.

He noted that if anything untoward happens to him or any of his family members, Hon. Olumide Osoba should be held responsible given the illustrative details.

Meanwhile, when The Encounter News reached out to Hon. Olumide Osoba via his MTN number through WhatsApp and text messages, the lawmaker declined comment.

Our editor’s message to the Hon. Osoba reads; “We need your reaction to this accusation from Mr. Abayomi Arabambi’s lawyer, Prof. Yemi Oke, SAN. How true are the allegations sir? Have you been served the petition? Is it true you sent Mr. Arabambi the quoted message in the petition?”

But as at the time of filing this report, over 12hours after sending him messages for reaction, Hon. Olumide Osoba refused to comment.

PETITION ON THREAT TO PERSON AND ATTEMPTS ON THE LIFE OF COMRADE ABAYOMI ARABAMBI

We are Counsel to Comrade Abayomi Arabambi (hereinafter referred to as “Our Client”) and on whose behalf we write this letter to formally complain to your office the series of threats to person, threats and attempts on the life of our client.

1) Background:
Our client on October 3, 2025 posted on a WhatsApp loop called OGUN GOVERNANCE FOCUS which is purely a loop meant for Ogun State politics and Nigeria where political and economic interests are discussed. Below is what our Client posted:
“Any Clandestine Move for Continuity of the present Status-Quo (Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency) in 2027 is doomed to fail and dead on Arrival. Therefore the Good People of Abeokuta North Local Government should get ready. “OUR MUMU DON DO” O to gee”

About 15 minutes after our Client posted the above message, Hon. Olumide Osoba, son of the former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba and a National Assembly Member representing the people of Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives deliberately sent a message to our Client’s WhatsApp. Below is the message sent to our Client by Hon. Olumide Osoba:

“You have been paid as usual. We will meet at the appointed time in the place you would least expect.”

The above message implies that our Client has been paid by someone to post the above statement and that his (Hon. Osoba), with some other unknown persons will meet our Client at the “appointed time” in a place he would least expect. As if that was not enough, Hon. Olumide Osoba further sent a message to our Client to read Ecclesiastes Chapter 10:15 on October 4, 2025 at 12:12pm. Below is Ecclesiastes 10:15 says;

“The labor of fools wearies every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.”

By implication, Hon. Olumide Osoba is making allusion to the fact that our Client is a fool, ignorant, misguided person that lacks direction in life. The said message to our Client is very demeaning, insulting, and injurious to our Client’s reputation and gross assault on his political and his family reputation.

This letter is to bring to your attention that Hon. Olumide Osoba is after our Client’s life and that of his family members. He is determined to deploy his political thugs and killers-agents alike to execute/carryout his plans and threats.

2) Hon. Olumide Osoba:
Hon. Olumide Osoba is a known political figure apart from being the son of a former of Ogun State. He has the capacity to carry out his threats because he moves about with a retinue of political thugs, aids, and security agents. He is a prominent politician with extensive influence within and outside Ogun State and financial capability to get away with virtually anything. This is the reason why we are writing this petition to you on behalf of our Client to step into the matter. We believe that Hon. Olumide Osoba is about to carry-out his threats on our Client any time soon.

3) Our Appeal:
By the medium of this petition, we wish to place on records that, if should anything untoward happens to our client in person of Comrade Abayomi Arabambi and/or any members of his family, Hon. Olumide Osoba and his political allies/group should be held fully responsible, given the illustrative details and reasons chronicled above.

We therefore, most sincerely, appeal to you to use your good offices as the Commissioner Police of Ogun State, to cause a thorough investigation to be made to this petition and invite Hon. Olumide Osoba for questioning so that our Client’s life and that of his entire family will not be cut short by Hon. Olumide Osoba and his allies or supporters.
