ABEOKUTA – Senator Solomon Adeola representing APC, Ogun West senatorial district has congratulated newly appointed acting Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun on his meritorious appointment to the pinnacle of his career in the Nigeria Police Force.
Senator Yayi in a statement signed by his media adviser, Kayode Odunaro, following the announcement of new appointments in the security sector by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, commended the president for the appointment of one of his illustrious constituents from Ogun State as the acting IGP pending his confirmation for the same position in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Senator Adeola described Mr. Egbetokun as a patriotic security officer that had served the nation in various capacities at home and abroad stressing that his appointment will bring in a renew vigour in tackling many of the security challenges facing the nation at this period.
Mr. Egbetokun joined the Nigerian Police Force in March 1990 and served in various capacities rising to the position of Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG before his present appointment.
