ABEOKUTA – Ogun State chapter of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has described former Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture, Mrs. Ronke Sokefun as an excellent goal getter, whose contribution in the development of Ogun state cum Nigeria cannot be overemphasized.
The union stated this in a congratulatory message to the politician after receiving award of excellence from the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Ogun state chapter.
In the message jointly signed by the council’s Chairman, Wale Olanrewaju and Secretary, Bunmi Adigun lauded Mrs Sokefun, a former Director General, Lands And Survey, Former Commissioner for Agriculture and later Urban and Physical Planning and Immediate past Chairman, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Company, who was decorated among others at the Institute’s Colloquium held at the Cultural center, Kuto Abeokuta on Wednesday.
An executive-level woman of substance, well-mannered and affable, Ronke Sokefun is one of Nigeria’s women shattering the glass ceiling in corporate Nigeria.
The 1987 Law graduate from the Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University has continued to light up the Nigerian corporate world with her intelligence and professionalism.
Mrs Ronke Sokefun, through her pet project MRS has touched lives and contributed in no small measure to her Immediate environment.
Ronke Sokefun, who was the board chairman of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has continued to be a symbol of inspiration to a lot of young Nigerian women.
