Ogun Govt, FA Boss Urge Allstars Football Association To Gun For Glory At 2025 National Veterans Tournament
ABEOKUTA- Ogun state government has urged All Stars Football Association, Abeokuta, to be true Ambassadors of the state and the southwest zone as they compete for honours at the 2025 National Veterans Football Tournament.
The Allstars Football Association will be representing the Southwest region at the “LAGOS 2025” which will kick off on October 1.
Speaking through the state Commissioner for Sports Development, Hon. Wasiu Isiaka, the government assured the Allstars FA of the state government’s support as they strive to bring the coveted trophy to Ogun State as National champions.
Also, in his words of encouragement, an NFF executive member and also the Chairman of the Ogun state Football Association, Alh. Ganiyu Majekodunmi said the state FA is confident of the abilities and capabilities of the Ogun state football veterans to make the state proud in their maiden national appearance.
The 2025 National Veterans Tournament holding in Lagos from October 1 to 5 will see eight qualifiers from six zones across the country competing for the coveted trophy.
Allstars Football Association Abeokuta, the southwest zonal champions, are being joined by Ondo state and host state Lagos as the representatives of the southwest.
Registered as All Stars Football Association, Abeokuta by CAC, the President, Alh. Salimon Akinbo promised to lead the team to success and bring the inaugural trophy home.
