President Celebrates Abiodun, Dare On birthdays

ABUJA – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday congratulated Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications, Chief Sunday Akin Dare, on their birthdays.

In a personally written tribute marking Abiodun’s birthday, which coincided with his seventh year in office, Tinubu described the governor as a people-centred leader whose “Building Our Future Together” agenda has positively transformed Ogun State through investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth empowerment and agriculture.

The President lauded Abiodun’s achievements, including the construction of a modern airport, establishment of an airline, deployment of CNG and electric vehicles, and his success in positioning Ogun as a leading industrial hub complementary to the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He wished the governor good health and renewed strength in continued service.

Relatedly, Tinubu celebrated Dare on his 60th birthday, describing him as a loyal ally and seasoned professional.

He recalled their close collaboration between 2013 and 2014, during consultations that led to the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC), praising Dare’s “dexterity, tenacity, resilience and professionalism” throughout the process, which earned him higher national appointments afterwards.

As Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications in the current administration, Tinubu said Dare has brought “deep understanding of digital and new media to bear in the work of our media and communications team,”

He further praised Dare’s commitment to family values, community development and national service, noting that his achievements had earned him both national and traditional honours.
