ABEOKUTA – Yayi Youth Vanguard has announced the appointment of Chief Bukola Olopade, the Director General of the National Sports Commission, and Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun (IBD), Chairman of IBD Group of Companies, as State Patrons.
The appointment was announced by the Convener of the Vanguard, Comr. Olamide Lawal, and the State Coordinator, Comr. Emmanuel Enitan Ojo.
According to the leadership, the appointment of Chief Olopade and Alhaji Dende as Patrons is in a bid to move the Vanguard forward and further position it as a formidable youth movement championing the ideals of Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi across the nooks and crannies of Ogun state.
The statement further noted that the two patrons were carefully selected based on their track records, leadership qualities, and unwavering commitments to youth development and progressive politics in Ogun State.
“We want to sincerely appreciate Chief Bukola Olopade and Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun for their support and fatherly guidance so far. Their acceptance to serve as State Patrons of the YAYI Youth Vanguard gives us more confidence that the future of Ogun youths is in safe hands,” the statement read.
The Vanguard expressed optimism that with the calibre of personalities now on board, its grassroots mobilization ahead of 2027 will receive a major boost.
