Labour Party (LP) logo has been omitted from ballots papers in the House of Representatives for Esan Central/Esan West/Igueben Federal Constituency polls in Edo State.
The election has therefore been put on hold following the tension generated by the development.
Some angry voters who denounced the omission alleged that the move was an attempt to manipulate the election.
Attempts to reach the Electoral Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Esan West Local Government Area proved abortive as he’s said to be on the field monitoring the distribution of electoral materials.
Accreditation and voting has however commenced at ward 5 in Emuhi, Esan Central Local Government Area.
