No Plan To Cede Tarmac To Igbo Traders – Lobot
ABEOKUTA – The re-elected chairman, Mobile Phones Dealers and Technicians Association (MOPDATEC), Ogun state, Mr. Ifebola Togunwa has refuted the widely circulated social media claim that, some part of the popular phone market in Abeokuta, TARMAC has been ceded to some Igbo traders.
Recall that, a chairmanship aspirant for the Mobile Phones Dealers and Technicians Association election had promised some Igbo traders possible take over of the phone market if elected.
This, has, however, created some unrest among members of the association and traders.
The new chairman, Mr. Togunwa while addressing journalists on the issue said, there was no plan to cede any part of the phone market to the Igbo traders.
Togunwa popularly known as Lobot said the move was a wishful thinking of some desperate contestants to converse for votes.
He, therefore, assured members of the association and traders to disregard the rumour.
He further maintained that, the phone market is not specifically for a particular tribe or ethnic division but conglomerate of all ethnicity.
