APM Guber Candidate Threatens To Probe Governor Abiodun If Elected

ABEOKUTA – The governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Ogun State, Prince Babajide Rotimi, has vowed to probe the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun if elected governor in the 2027 governorship election.
Rotimi, a town planner and farmer, gave the hint while speaking on The Arena, an Abeokuta – based podcast (see link to full clip:

The APM candidate said his ambition was driven by a desire to correct what he described as anomalies in the state and change the narrative of governance.
He, however, did not provide specific details of the proposed probe during the interactive session.
Rotimi, who insisted that he was in the governorship race to win, said he was neither seeking to negotiate with other political interests nor planning to withdraw from the contest.
The APM candidate also denied being sponsored by the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), insisting that his decision to contest on the party’s platform was based on his personal convictions.
Babajide stated “I am not contesting to negotiate, neither am I contesting to chicken out. I am in the race to win, and it will surprise everyone. People will be asking, ‘Where is this man coming from?’ I am going to correct the anomalies. I am coming to change the narrative. I am not being sponsored by the opposition APC. Only God is my sponsor.
“APM is the only party in Ogun state without division and Ogun residents must consider that and vote for APM. It’s a party that will eradicate poverty, provide security and create jobs for the people.
“On my development agenda, job creation, youth empowerment and food security will be the priorities of my administration if elected. I will encourage young people to embrace agriculture by making farming easier and establishing agricultural hubs in strategic locations to facilitate transactions.”
According to him, designated locations would also be provided for livestock farming as part of efforts to strengthen agricultural production and improve food security in the state.
Babajide urged Ogun residents not to sell their future by voting parties that he said are full of correction and have nothing to offer, urging them to vote for APM in the 2027 governorship election.
