Ogun Govt Delivers Two Transformers To MAPOLY For Electrification Project

ABEOKUTA – Another milestone achievement has been recorded by the Arc. Dr. ’Koye Jolaoso-led Management, following the delivery of two transformers to alleviate the long-standing challenge of inadequate power supply at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.

This intervention was in fulfillment of the promise made by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, to support the institution in reclaiming its pride of place in the comity of polytechnics in Nigeria.

The two transformers, with capacities of 500KVA/.415KV and 300KVA/.415KV, will significantly boost power supply across the Polytechnic once they are fully commissioned.

It would be recalled that, during a stakeholders’ engagement, the Management met with officials of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), who gave assurances to inspect, recommend, and proffer lasting solutions to the epileptic power supply situation in the Polytechnic.

On behalf of the Management, staff, and students, the Rector expressed profound appreciation to the Governor for his unflinching support to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.

The Rector, while expressing the institution’s determination to deliver quality in its mandate of technology and innovation, further pledged that the institution will continue to justify this kind gesture, not only as evidence of the dividends of democracy, but also as a demonstration of a promise made and a promise kept, in line with the vision of “building our future together.”
