Jubilation As Ofada Residents Applaud Senator Yayi Over Delivery of Transformer, Reaffirm Support

ABEOKUTA – Residents of Ofada in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State have expressed appreciation to Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, for fulfilling his promise to facilitate the delivery of a transformer to the community.

In his appreciation message on behalf of the community, Professor Abayomi Durosinmi-Etti, OFR, commended the senator for keeping his word to the people of Ofada, particularly his supporters and youths in the community.

According to Durosinmi-Etti, the transformer was delivered to Ofada at about 11pm on Sunday, bringing relief and excitement to residents who had been looking forward to its arrival.

He said the delivery was a demonstration of Adeola’s commitment to the development and wellbeing of the people, describing the fulfilment of the promise as worthy of commendation.

“I just received a call from the Ofada youth leader that the transformer was finally delivered around 11pm last night,” Durosinmi-Etti said.

He added that he had personally reminded residents of Ofada, including the Vicar and youths of the over 100-year-old St. David’s Anglican Church, Ofada, about Adeola’s commitment to deliver the transformer during his visit to the church’s family harvest last Sunday.

“On behalf of all the good people of Ofada, I say a big thank you for fulfilling your promise to your massive supporters and all the good people of Ofada,” he stated.

Durosinmi-Etti gave glory to God for the successful delivery of the transformer, while praying for continued blessings and success for Adeola and his family.

He also acknowledged the role played by the senator’s Chief of Staff, Chief Kayode Odunaro, whom he described as a steadfast supporter of the initiative.

The professor further assured Adeola of the continued support of the majority of the people of Ofada, particularly the youths, noting that the community’s youth leader, Mr. Muyiwa Sokunbi, had reaffirmed their support during a meeting in Ofada on Sunday, August 30.

The appreciation, according to Durosinmi-Etti, reflects the community’s recognition of Adeola’s responsiveness to their needs and his willingness to translate promises into tangible development projects.
