Evangelist Talon who expressed displeasure over the state of the nation’s economy noted that prayer alone cannot solve the problems bedeviling Nigeria.

He argued that the country will only know peace if the church in Nigeria can unite.

Talon equally emphasized the need for Nigerians to shun evil and move closer to God in repentance, adding that it is hypocritical to seek God’s intervention for Nigeria while corruption reigns in the affairs of the people.

He said “The church in Nigeria must unite first for peace to come to play in Nigeria. If there is unity we can all win together, we believe and pray that we shall all be successful.

“This church is praying along with other churches in Nigeria concerning our challenges, but we cannot continue to pray when we are not aligning with God. We must brace righteousness in Nigeria.”

Talon stated that all that is needed as a country in the current situation is to call all churches and Nigerians to fight the battle together with prayer, adding that the only weapon needed is prayer.
